Don't wake me cause I'm dreaming, of angels on the moon Where everyone you know, never leaves too soon
[/b] Sunpaw stretched out in the luxurious warmth of the sun. It had rained just last night, cooling off the whole world. Now the sun was warming it up, and it was all misty and humid. She finished stretching and starting to clean her fur. It was a little mussed up from play-fighting. She finished her grooming and looked about her. Cats were rushing to and fro, getting their daily chores done. She should probably go help the other apprentices with their jobs, but she was just to lazy today. She attacked a butterfly fitting by, barely missing it. She continued to chase it across the clearing, feeling light hearted and happy. This is to one last day in the shadows And to know a brother's love
[/b] She continued to molest the butterfly all the way until she came to the camp entrance. There she let it go, flitting on along its way. She stretched again, just for good measure, and went back to the apprentice's den. Entering, she saw that it was empty. Sunpaw decided to rearrange her bedding. It would look like she was doing something if someone entered. Then re-started her cleaning job. She felt like being vain today. Today, everyone would stare as she went by. Not that they didn't already do that, but, hey, they'll look twice now. She finished her grooming for a second time and lay down, her eyes slits. She was content to just sit and wait for someone to interrupt her. She had no reason to go chasing after jobs like she actually wanted to do them. It would take a while for some other cat to catch on to her scheme. For now, she was safe. You can tell me all your thoughts, about the stars that fill polluted skies And show me where you run to, when no one's left to take your side [/b] [/blockquote][/blockquote] song: Angels on the Moon by Thriving Ivory[/size]

Venusflower's silver tabby ears flicked back at he sound of pawsteps, and she turned her beautiful head towards the apprentice that walked past her. Most of the other cats were rushing to get their jobs done, and leave for hunts. Humph.... one would think that the next appocalypse is coming. she thought to herself. Not one approoached her, espiecally as she was sitting under a small tree, looking down at her paws. Every cat knew that she was mourning again, for the kits she had lost.
Venusflower turned her head towards the Apprentice's den again, where Sunpaw had disapeared. It was time to get back to reality and Venusflower stood up, leaving her tree and stepping silently towards the route that Sunpaw had taken. Venusflower blinked as she reached teh den, and spied the dur of Sunpaw. Taking a day off are we? Venusflower commented in a whispering but slightly smug voice, Don't worry, I won't turn you in to Frigidstar, Silentstep or your mentor. There is nothing better to do then nothing at all. Venusflower lifted one of her paws and gave it a soft lick, before again returning her gaze towards the resting apprentice, she-cat Sunpaw.

Sunpaw's head jerked up as someone spoke. Seeing it was Venusflower, she calmed down a little. Then she figured out what Venusflower was saying. "Uh, I...yeah...I just don't want to have to do something, then get told I'm doing it wrong...." She looked down at her paws and her ears flicked back slightly. She looked up, catching Venusflower's eye. "What are you doing? Do you....do you think I could help, so that it looks like I'm doing something? That way there would be less of a chance for either of them of getting caught or yelled at for doing nothing. It would just be easier for both of them. Sunpaw thought about Venusflower. She hadn't really paid attention to the she-cat, but that was no wonder. Sunpaw barely paid attention to anyone but her mentor. But she had heard that Venusflower had lost kits, and she knew that Venusflower looked sad. Maybe Sunpaw could cheer her up? "How 'bout we go out hunting? Or just wander 'round and pretend we're hunting? That would give them both an excuse to get out of the camp, and a reason to do next to nothing. Win-win situation. Sunpaw felt pretty proud of herself for thinking up that one. Usually she just lay around until someone saw her or she found something interesting to do. Maybe today, she'd have someone to do something with.

I like how your mind thinks. To be an apprentice again. venusflower gave a glare, ' But I'm not old. I was made a warrior young. Being a warrior isn't what it is cracked up to be! She straightened her back, twitching her whiskers, swivelling her ears in all directions to detect a sound, and her pale blue eyes blinking, Quick. Let's scam!
