We are glad you have decided to join this new, original site. But before we begin, there are a few rules that must be laid down. Sorry about the length, by the way. Hidden among these rules are two words that you will need to gain access to the Character Creation board. The will be put together with spaces, and it will be case sensitive.
So, begin your time with us here.
ATTENTION. This is the official 'sorry' for such long rules. There aren't really that many, they are just explained more thoroughly. And instead of having the mates/kits rules in that board, they are here. So... SORRY! ----------
Any rules may be changed at any time, so check up often. added -- modified

#01. Everyone on the site should be treated like a friend. Sure, maybe you don’t really like them, but you should at least act civilly towards one another. And that being said, no fighting at all. If you must, do it in private messaging ( PM ).
#02. All of the characters belong in one account.
#03. Spam is spam. We do not like seeing it, but if you feel the need to make a random post, I’m sure you can find a thread for that. Spamming elsewhere will simply result in it being deleted as well as you; just depends on the situation.
#04. Let the staff be the staff. You should not argue with them at all, unless you are 100% sure. You joined this site under their rule, not the other way around. And another thing, yelling at them ( well, not 'yelling' since we can't hear eachother ) will NOT be tolerated.
#05. Chatspeak? Yeah. That should be quarantined to the chat box, and only there. In fact, lets even keep it to a minimum there. Do u rly wnt 2 c ppl tlking lyk dis all ovr d plac? Didn’t expect you to.
#06. If you steal, we will punish you the best we can. You will be reported to proboards, ban you, and talk about you with other sites who -guess what?- hate stealing just as much as we do and will also probably ban you. We do not take this lightly.
#07. There is controversy in life, we know it. Please keep controversial topics to yourself. If you really wish to discuss something, feel free to start a thread, maybe with a warning in the title. If arguments ensue, it will have to be deleted.
#08. Don’t join if you haven’t ever read the Warriors books. How will you know anything about what this site is based on? If you haven’t, skip on down to the library and read the first ( by Erin Hunter ) then come on back and sign up. It’s that easy, and the first word is activity.

#01. Yes, we allow liquid time. If you don’t know what that is, check the FAQ. Please don’t abuse this by having your character in every thread, though.
#02. After you join, you have three weeks to make your first character and start / join an IC thread. If by the end of the three weeks you haven’t completed the two requirements, your account will be deleted. This is only so that activity checks will not have to be so frequent.
#03. The minimum words count for each IC post is 175 words. Because really, how can you work with only three sentences in the previous post? We have a word counter on the sidebar, so you have no excuse to have any less. Such a pain. Well, not really.
#04. God-moding and powerplaying are never allowed. God-moding is when you character is practically invinsible ( a god ), and powerplaying is when you are controlling another’s character ( such as hurting them without their consent ).
#05. Posting can only be done in third person. I know that a lot of people like and prefer first, but third is so much easier to understand, and the books go by it as well.
#06. Leave OOC knowledge OOC. That should have been enough said, but here is an example of what not to do. Say two cats are roleplaying, one is a queen and the other is a medicine cat. Here’s the queen’s portion of the roleplay.
"This medicine cat is really crazy. I really do not like her, and I do not trust her with my kits. Even though these thoughts invaded her mind, the silky queen was excellent at keeping emotions to herself, especially these ones."
Say this it the medicine cat’s portion.
"The medicine cat could tell the queen despised her. Maybe not from actions directly, but in subtle movements you could tell. Hmmmph."
THAT IS A NO-NO. The medicine cat would have no inkling about the queen’s personal thoughts. She is not a mind reader. Leave it that way, and realize I am very strict about this.
#07. Swearing is not allowed IC. The most these cats curse is with the words, “mousedung”, “stupid furball”, ect. Anyone familiar with warriors should know that. If you wish to use it OOC, that is fine, just keep to a minimum.
#08. When there are over two people, come up with a posting order. That way nobody gets confused or left out.
#09. This is an intermediate site. That means correct grammar and spelling are key. A way to check your spelling/grammar is to write everything out in a Word document beforehand, and use spellcheck.
#10. Raping / force breeding are not allowed on this site, unless it is planned by both parties.

01. A character’s name should by similar to the ones found in the books. I have never seen a Eclipsedeye, or Hibiscuspelt before in the books. If in your bio there are ones similar to this, we will ask you to change it. Also, remember to use things that actual warriors would know about. They don’t know what ink, polar bears, or chickens are.
02. This is a cat roleplay, and therefore you can only make felines ( unless there is a plot involving other creatures going on ). Also, no magical cats please, I’m sure you can find a fantasy site for that.
03. Apprentices can only be created at six or seven moons; no older. They also must have been in at least four training threads to become a warrior; two for hunting and two for fighting.
04. Kits cannot be created; they must be born by the union of a tom and a she-cat. But I am sure you understand that whole process.
05. Clan leaders decide punishments for cats disobeying the Survivor code, so be careful when breaking them. Also, the second word is rocks.
06. Clan leaders also get to choose the apprentice’s warrior name. You can make suggestions, however, but it is up to them whether they will listen or not.
07. You may only have eight cats total. There is no way to gain more ( yet ), and kits / adoptions count for that total.

01. To have kits, you must have another member roleplay the mate. You cannot play your cat's mates, or have a cat have a non-existent mate. They must also be a female and a male, and you cannot create a female who is already pregnant.
02. Cats can have litters with more than one father. This happens all the time in real-life, so appearances and other statistics with adjust appropriately.
03. Mating should really not be posted. Maybe the beforehand and the afterward. This potentially goes against Proboards' rules, so take it to PMing if you want to.
04. The queens will be pregnant for about three weeks ( real time ) before giving birth, give or take a couple of days.
05. A litter’s statistics ( eye colors, pelt colors, gender, number of kits ) will depend on the parents’ statistics, the Clan’s need ( if applicable ), and is the admin’s choice, so please fill out a form.
06. Naming is up to the parents.
07. The roleplayer of a parent can only have one or two kits of the litter. The person who claims the kit writes the bio, or if the parents choose, they can write them first and hand them out to the claimer.
08. The members role-playing the kits will not be able to role-play them until seven OOC days after they are born. Until then, the kits cannot talk, and have their ears and eyes closed for about the first half.
09. Kits that are not claimed by a roleplayer or one of the parents will die within an appropriate amount of time, by sickness or some other sort of ailment or disaster.
10. Always check the Ban List for bans. And remember... Kits and elders cannot have kits!
