WindClan was lucky in their other home to have found such a nice camp in the open. But here, their protection is limited, so they chose the broken down barn as their camp, along with a few surrounding boulders. The leader calls attention on a low wooden beam. The dens are pieces of cornstalks woven with bramble patches that have moved their way into the barn, along with plants that crept their way in. The large stream's source is not too far away from camp.
In the middle of heather and tall grasses, and on the edge of their territory, a group of rocks and boulders lays slightly spread out. Who knows how they got here; maybe it was a Twoleg farmer moving them out of his way. However they got there, they are helpful. They house mice and other animals seeking protection. Sometimes you can even find a harmless snake basking on a rock, or a rabbit eating heather in their safety. WindClan cats come here to hunt, and to lay on the rocks. Yes, the rocks act as a sort of Sunningrocks, and warm up in the early afternoons. It was finally time that WindClan got to enjoy the luxury of warmed rocks!
Where WindClan gets their bedding from is one of the only areas that is clear enough of grasses and cornstalks and heather for training. Recently upturned soil, from where the Clan has taken the cornstalks, creates soft grounds for training. Although when it rains, this large expanse of grass and dirt turns to a pit of mud. In the case of that happening, the WindClanners have covered the ground with things such as heather, bracken, and cornstalks to keep the mud from seeping through to the paws of the cats.
Another section of land that marks the egde of WindClan's terriotory are the hills. They are not especially large, but they are wide. Short grasses cover the land, and WindClanners can see far from their tops. Prey can't be found here very often, and younger cats must watch out for hawks. Who knows why the cats of WindClan come here; the barren lands don't have much to offer. The only plus is that they can spot intruders from far off.
WEATHER:
Cold frosts are setting in, framing the golden yellow leaves with crystalized ice. Piles of fallen leaves and branches hide nuts and therefor prey. Each step taken is amplified with a dozen crunchs. Here and there are a few light snowfalls, not enough to do anything more than dust the ground, but it still causes felines everywhere to shiver. The sun gives off much warmth, the summer still pumping through it's rays, but half the time it is merely a form of light, with little warmth in store. It is still hard to tell how harsh the winter will be.
PREY ABUNDANCE:
medium to low.
